Though soft spoken in person, Nina shows her fiery, critical, and opinionated side through her music. Not only does her music give insight to her own life, she also writes about a range of societal issues, portraying the perspective of a young woman in today’s social, digital, and political landscape.

This South-African singer/songwriter doesn’t like being put in a box! Together with her band she plays honest, energetic, genre-blending pop that gets your head nodding and your brain thinking. When Phil gets on stage she feels like a tiger being released from its cage, with her dynamic & soulful voice roaring into the crowd. She has found liberation through her music and
she hopes that you will too.
Phil might appear to be all sunshine-and-butterflies, but she packs more punch than you might think. She doesn’t like to just sit around and look pretty. She expresses herself in her colourful, quirky indie-pop world with moody lyrical mantras, anthemic songs of self-worth and soulful, heartfelt melodies.
